Some side effects that may occur with this medicine generally go away as soon as the body adjusts to the medicine, and these can include:-
- Trembling
- Lack of voluntary muscular coordination
- Difficulty in passing stools
- Painful urination
- Difficulty in speaking
- Dry mouth
- Headache
- Fever
- Problems with vision
- Walking unsteadily
- Drowsiness
- Pain in the lower back or the sides
- Tingling sensation or numbness in the hands, arms, feet, or legs.
However, if any of these symptoms become bothersome, inform your doctor at once. If you have an allergic reaction, it will manifest itself as: Rash, Hives, Itching, Blistering/Peeling of the skin, Red Skin lesions, or, Swelling in the face-lips-tongue-gums or around the eyes, then you must stop the medicine and consult your doctor at once.
Immediately seek emergency medical help should you experience any uncommon, or serious symptoms, such as:-
- Seizures
- Labored breathing, or noisy breathing
- Tightness in chest
- Wheezing
- Tachycardia (rapid heartbeat)
- Joint or muscular pain
- Twitching or jerking of the muscles
- Muscular weakness
- Diarrhea
- Chills, or cold sweats
- Depression
- Nightmares
- Nausea
- Flatulence.
